This supposedly is the track listing to the unreleased album "Chrome Dreams". This information has not been officially released by Neil, so there is absolutely NO guarantee that this information is correct. (However, Jef Piehler says "I have actually seen, handled & taped the acetate discussed here, so despite what you've read elsewhere regarding recording dates &/or versions of the songs from this acetate, the information here is correct.") All of the information on this page has been verified against Jef's site.
Chrome Dreams was to have been released in late 1976, when Neil's retrospective album Decade, the promotion of which was well underway (promo copies were already at radio stations and displays were up at record stores), was postponed in favor of a new album of material entitled Chrome Dreams. When the album was finally released in June 1977, it was entitled American Stars 'N Bars, and it was a very different album than the March 1977 acetate of Chrome Dreams that collectors found in 1992. (Jef Piehler's Sidestreet Records has a reprint of the Broken Arrow article he wrote about the acetate of Chrome Dreams, along with a song-by-song description of the acetate.)
