The sequel to the unreleased Chrome Dreams, the album reaches back to the 1980's for the first 3 songs. "Beautiful Bluebird" was originally recorded for in 1985 for the Old Ways album. "Boxcar" was originally recorded in 1988 for the unreleased Times Square album that was scrapped at the last minute. "Boxcar" became a casualty when it was discarded when the album was transformed into what became the Freedom album. "Ordinary People" was recorded during the This Note's For You sessions and was a tour epic in that timeframe featuring horn section and guitar interplay like only Neil could pull off.
