Notes:
This session has been a subject of debate recently. In early 2002, a cassette dated "10/23" surfaced in trading circles and included all of the songs previously thought to have been sourced from a cassette dated "10/13." The general consensus is that both tapes have the same recordings of the songs, but pinning a date on the session is a mystery. Five Against One stated the first rehearsals with Ed at the Galleria Potatohead were recorded, but as to whether the songs on the tapes are the recordings from those rehearsals or are from a professional studio session is unknown. Most of the songs are multi-tracked and contain overdubs so it's more likely they were professionally recorded in a studio rather than being recorded live at a rehearsal, but no information is known for sure. In June 1995, Ed stated in An Ongoing Affair With My Telecaster, "After five days we had something like ten songs. On the sixth day, we actually played a show and by the end of the seventh day, we recorded everything," but many people believe the recordings on the above-mentioned tapes could have been made anywhere between October 8 and October 23, 1990. For that reason, this session is listed here as taking place between October 8 - 23, 1990. The recording of 'Weird A' found on the "10/23" cassette is rumored to have come from a different session, but since information about this session is already conflicted enough, it is listed here anyways.
This tape has become known as the Mookie Blaylock Demo.

Eddie Vedder in Seattle 10/13/90 (First Week Rehearsal demo)
Even Flow / Once / Breath / Release / Girl / Alive / Goat / Alone / Oceans / Black / Improv. / Quick Jams / etc...
The first ever demo recorded as a full band. Eddie wrote "this was only after 6 days" on the cover. "Improv." is an early take of "Yellow Ledbetter" with completely different lyrics. "Quick Jams", a short instrumental, is also known as "Wierd A". "etc." is most likely the filler track "Daddy".

Eddie Vedder in Seattle 10/23/90 (First Week Rehearsal demo)
Even Flow / Once / Breath / Release / Girl / Goat / Alive / Alone (unlisted) / Oceans / Black / Improv. / Weird A / Daddy
Eddie changed the track list to accomodate a different length cassette. The versions recorded onto this particular tape might be re-mixed from the original 10/13/90 master. "Daddy (Could Swear, I Declare)" is most likely a filler track taken from a previous Vedder session.
