All songs written by Neil Young except for "Blue Eden", written by Neil Young, Frank "Poncho" Sampedro, Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina.

It was rumored that the song "Sleeps With Angels" is about Kurt Cobain's (Nirvana) suicide; however, no one is quite sure, because Neil has refused to talk about the album.

Also on a sad note, this was the last album that Neil worked on with long-time producer David Briggs; he died of cancer in 1995.
